Still learning

I am a bit obsessed with motorsport. Here is one of my latest quick renders, only 500 samples. Would love any feedback. One area I struggle with is getting decent lightingin. Any Tips?

Model by QvistDesigns. Livery and renders by myself

Really cool, love it.

Lighting is good too so depends on what you’re trying to achieve. I tend create the product then load in a black environment and add one light at a time, playing with size and intensity, but I think this is really nice as it is, a less well lit scene could look more dramatic maybe?
The chrome on it is playing with my eyes a bit, maybe the smallest bit of roughness on it might help it look less liquidy.

But I’m nit picking as you asked for feedback, its great as is, nice work!

Nice one Tim! I agree with Harry, it looks good! Think the chrome he mentions is actually the floor but not sure. I’m rarely using a roughness of 0 with models like this. Of course, if you really want to use chrome that’s pretty close to 0 but it often tends to look a bit to perfect.

While I did online campaigns a long time for Volvo Cars NL I still don’t have a drivers license nor I’m really a motorsport addict. But I do love to race online with some other oldies and create my own liveries for every season.

The reason I mention this is that those games can be a great source if you want to get your 3D models to render or do a livery. Depending on the game they might be a bit less detailed as the model you bought but for this kind of renders you won’t notice it. If you like to get more info, send me a PM since it might be a bit off topic
